This policy explains how personal data is handled when you visit latingin.com, sign up for our emails or place an order.
1. Who is responsible
Latin Gin LLC operates latingin.com and is responsible for the website, customer service, our emails, marketing and analytics. Contact: info@latingin.com. Company details are in our legal notice.
Sélection Prestige GmbH (Direct Drinks Distribution), Pariser Str. 3, 10719 Berlin, Germany, is the seller of your order and is independently responsible for processing your order, payment, delivery, and tax, excise and age-verification obligations. Its data protection officer can be reached through Sélection Prestige GmbH at the address above.
2. What we collect

Order data: name, billing and delivery address, email, phone number, order contents, payment status and, where needed, date of birth or age confirmation.

Account and contact data: details you give us when you create an account, contact us, write a review, fill in a form or use the withdrawal form.

Marketing data: your email or phone number if you sign up, and how you interact with our emails.

Usage data: device, browser, approximate location, pages viewed and actions on the site, collected through cookies and similar technologies, subject to your cookie choices.
Card and bank details are processed directly by the payment providers. We never see or store full card numbers.
3. Why we use it, and on what legal basis

To take and deliver your order, provide customer service and handle returns: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

To meet legal obligations, such as tax and accounting records, excise duty and age checks for alcohol: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).

To keep the shop secure, prevent fraud and misuse of discount codes, and improve the website and product range: our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)).

To send you offers by email if you've bought from us before, about similar products: our legitimate interest in direct marketing. You can opt out at any time, at no cost, using the link in every email.

Newsletters, SMS and non-essential cookies (analytics and advertising): your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.
We may use anonymised or aggregated information, which no longer identifies you, for any business purpose.
4. Who we share it with
We share personal data only as needed for the purposes above, with:
- Sélection Prestige GmbH / Direct Drinks Distribution, which sells and fulfils your order;
- Shopify (online store and checkout);
- payment providers, including Mollie, PayPal and Klarna, and Apple Pay or Google Pay where used;
- delivery companies such as FedEx and DHL;
- service providers for email and SMS (Klaviyo), reviews, translation, subscriptions, order tracking and customer service;
- advertising and analytics partners such as Meta (Facebook, Instagram) and Google, only with your consent where cookies are involved;
- creator and affiliate partners, limited to which discount code or link was used;
- authorities, courts and professional advisers where required by law or to protect our rights;
- a buyer or successor in the event of a sale, merger or restructuring of the business.
Service providers act on our instructions. Some, such as Meta and Google, may act as joint or independent controllers for their own processing.
5. International transfers
Latin Gin LLC and some of our service providers are based in the United States. Where data leaves the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland, we rely on an adequacy decision (such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework for certified companies) or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
6. How long we keep it
Order and accounting records are kept for as long as tax and commercial law require, generally up to 10 years. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe; we then keep your email address on a suppression list so we don't contact you again. Customer service messages are kept for up to 3 years. Cookie data is kept for the periods shown in the cookie settings.
7. Cookies
We use cookies that are necessary for the shop to work, such as the basket and checkout, without asking. Analytics and advertising cookies, including the Meta pixel and Google tags, are only used if you accept them in our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings link at the bottom of every page, or by clearing cookies in your browser.
8. Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, a portable copy, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interests, including direct marketing. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time; this does not affect earlier processing. Email info@latingin.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority, in particular in the country where you live.
9. Age
This website is intended only for adults of legal drinking age. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18 and will delete it if we learn that we have.
10. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page.
